Once upon a time we lived in the San Francisco Bay Area giving us easy access to many of the wonders of California. Linda and I along with Robin and Erin, the young lady next door, headed to Yosemite National Park in the middle of November 1982 to camp in a tent cabin for the weekend. Realizing it was unheated, we opted for sleeping in the van. It wasn’t too cold for the black bears roaming the site that night. They were just fellow campers wandering around as we walked the grounds. There were more animals than people.
Sarah was in doggie heaven romping around in the snow.
And, now, in a few weeks, the young lady above, along with her husband, is taking our grandchildren to see Yosemite in the Spring of 2014.
