Miller Island is really an area just south of Klamath Falls where birds migrate twice a year. The Klamath River and the canal systems provide water while the cultivated fields and marsh lands provide food.
Catching the sun at the right moment can also provide some wonderful photo memories.
Last Sunday, the Snow Geese were hopping from field to field. I once asked a Fish & Wildlife Ranger now many geese were in a flock. Her answer was 15,000 birds. At the time I asked the question we were flying around the Basin where I could count a dozen flocks in numerous water patches. This Sunday was no exception.
