Some memories are embedded for a life time.  Bert and Marti Sampson were most gracious as our hosts at the end of a month long excursion down the East Coast…top to bottom.  After a gap of 49 years, Linda and I returned to a very important place in our lives together.  I was a cadet commissioned in June 1967.  While our story was filled with adventure, there was a great opportunity for us not to have celebrated our 50th Anniversary during those days.  Our Squadron suffered losses over the Ho Chi Min Trail; five of us did not come home…two of us were seriously harmed…one of us was just bruised.  Those adventures were sunk deeply into our being.
