This shot is a competitive thing. As soon as the cockpit canopy is closed many of us do the Jeckel and Hyde thing. Such was the case with Gary and me. He got to South Africa first taking a picture of a rhino crossing the road about 50 feet in front of their safari truck. I petted this matronly dame on her nose…at her insistence…then took this shot from the front door of the open air safari rig.
