There is a lovely film of Swiss origin called “Vitus” (pronounced Vee Tuss) where the young genius sets off on his own life direction which includes flying the Pilatus Porter PC-6 that he inherited from his grandfather. Of course he flies to his piano lesson…age 13. Some airplanes speak for themselves. This is one of them.
Restricted to flying radio control airplanes these days, I look forward to flying this one for the first time soon. There are some superstitions in this hobby. One never says: “I am going up just one more time.” It is a sure killer of models. Even announcing the up coming flight might be dangerous…let us hope not.
